Split End Treatments!

I found this lovely website off pinterest, my favorite website... and I have a huge issue with split ends, like every other girl in the world.... so I thought I'd share my favorite tips that i found to fix them.

1. "One home hair treatment for split ends is a simple egg shampoo. For this treatment, all you need is an ounce of rosemary, preferably fresh, a pint of hot water, and one egg. What you want to do is steep your rosemary in the hot water for about 20 minutes, then let it cool. Once it’s cooled down, beat your egg into it, then massage the mix into your hair and rinse, just as you would with a regular shampoo."

2. "Castor oil is extremely helpful in a number of ways, but when you use it in a home hair treatment for split ends, at least you don’t have to drink the vile stuff! Rather, just mix an equal amount of castor oil, mustard oil, and olive oil – again, the amount you mix depends on the length and thickness of your hair. All you have to do is apply the mix into your hair, then wrap it up in a towel and let it set for thirty minutes. You definitely want to shampoo when you wash it out!

3. "If you eat a lot of avocado, you may have noticed that your hair and skin gets extremely soft. The oil in avocado makes it an ideal hair and skin treatment – but right now, we’re focusing on the former! All you have to do is mash up an avocado and, after getting your hair a bit damp, massage the fruit into your hair. Make sure you get your split ends coated. Let it set for anywhere between 15 minutes and half an hour, then rinse it out. You can add a tablespoon of olive oil for some extra sheen, if you like."

4. "Last but most definitely not least, olive oil makes an effective home hair treatment for split ends all by itself! All you do is warm enough olive oil to cover your hair, then massage it into those pretty but dry tresses. Wrap your hair in a towel or cover it with a shower cap, and find something to do for half an hour – then shampoo!"

THIS website is extremely helpful with hair and tips and tricks. . but these ones were my fave.. so check it out :)

Five Guys Friday!

Friday is my favorite day of the week. Everyone loves friday. My mom and I picked cody up from school and said, "guess what today is?" and he said, "friday?" and I said yesssss... but what else? and cody replied, "five guys friday!?" boom. instant happiness.... french fries, cheese. mmmmm. OH & this place has one of those drink machines that has literally every kind of drink there is in the world. you click on sprite, it says okay what kind of sprite? vanilla sprite? strawberry sprite? etc. its insane. I was trying all of the different kinds. I had root beer, vanilla sprite, and orange Hi-C.

So I bought this blue material today.... thinking that I could make this dress that I saw on THIS blog. Thanks to my crafty talented Mom, we didn't use a pattern, we just winged it and it is perfect. Anyone who knows me knows I love colors and turquoise and purple are my favorite colors ever. So thanks mom. I love you, and I couldn't have done it without you.

When we went to Joann's today I saw this pattern below, and I almost died. Like, how can I make that please? Knowing me I'd pick the wrong fabric, sew the wrong thing, blah. I'll work up to this one...but I'm def interested in this new hobby..
Does anyone else get this stupid notification? I don't understand at all iCloud. I wish it'd just go away. if you do understand it, please let me know how to fix this or what its all about. Thanks!
Lastly, I did something creeeepy today. Well I went up in the attic b/c we were getting down all the valentines day decorationsa and I ran into my old Cheer Excel Backpack!! Inside this backpack was my green, purple, and black sparkily uniform complete with my huge bow sported below: So I thought, I should try it on to make sure I'm not getting fat. Turns out I feel I look better in it or more comfortable in it than when I was in cheer. So that's good. Thumbs up. You can watch our last competition here. I watched it like 4 times today. The video has 8,000 views on it. impressive. I miss cheer. anyway that was my friday. hope yours went well too. xoxo.

Hey Der

Things I've learned lately:
-failures are necessary. If we got everything right on the first try, that'd be boring.
-When sad, mad, angry, happy, inspired, go to pilates. So basically anytime. I went tonight and it was aammazing.
-Take pictures and videos of animals always. My animals are the best, most photogenic, hilarious animals ever.. okay I'm done bragging.
-Thank God everyday.
-The Bachelor is so stupid, but hilarious. So I keep watching it. It's kind of like jersey shore. except I hate jerzshore w/ a passion. Forreals.
-I have the best family in the entire world. You can always count on Cody to brighten up your day. This might embarrass him, but that's what sisters are for... tonight charged into my room doing the weirdest dance ever and making the funniest faces ever with underwear on his head. hahaha I died laughing. Sometimes he takes a hilarious video of himself and slides his phone under my door, then I take a funny video and put it under his door. Glad my 11 year old brother, soon to be 12 is always there to make my day.
-I need to go to every rebel game. every one of them. I went to the last game against NM, and the mack was sold out and the energy was awesome, the traffic after the game wasn't so awesome but it was way fun. So I need to go to all of them.
-Trampolines CAN fly into swimming pools. yes it's possible. This saturday, vegas was SO windy, like walking outside was scary, windy. Naturally, I was painting my nails for the UNLV game, and all the sudden momsy screams, "the trampoline just flew into the pool!!!!!" first thought was... NO way, that's so cool. second thought, crap my nails are drying. third. PANIC>>>! we ran out there, all the pool furniture is in the pool, umbrella broken and bent, trampoline in the deep end, poles falling off to the wee bottom of the freezing cold pool. My mom and I trying to get it out was probably hilarious, thanks to ryan for helping us, we somehow managed to get the huge trampoline back over to its spot, and grabbed some ropes and tied that sucker to a tree. Oh, and my nails were ruined btw, and I'm wearing a sweatshirt that has silver nail polish all over it because of that chaotic day....
-after the gym don't look at recipes on pinterest. I found like 8 that i want to make tomorrow. I found a sugarfree cookie dough recipe too (click the word cookie, it'll take you to the recipe, you're welcome) that I almost made tonight! I'm dying. Why go to the gym if I just want cookie dough. I hate you spring break. The fat girl in me did eat a row of chocolate hersheys tho.... wooops.

love you whoever you are.

Doesn't pookers look like the dog from up???! I know. My mom and I were dying laughing!!!

This pic is hilarious. I know I look like a fool, cuz I is one.

Eclair madness.

Just another Saturday around here. Went to Costco. Took a nap. Made some eclairs. Theyre delicious! My cousin Ashlee gave me this recipe forever ago and we made them and they were way good. So when deciding what treat to make today, it was obvious for my mom and I. Eclairs.

My mom, brother and I took a ride to the duck pond. They were everywhere.

They dont fear humans because we give them bread so often. I think thats why they get so close to you anyways! It's scary. I thought after we ran out of bread they were going to follow us home. But I'm happy to report they were okay with us leaving them and didnt follow.

It was freezing. No judging the hat. At least I'm wearing a Unlv sweatshirt! Even though they lost today. :(

Saturday's are my favorite.

Friday the 13th!!

So I have two things that I want to talk about, friday the 13th, and I have a critique for Geisha VS. OHJAH.

So first, the friday the 13th. I secretly love that people are like "oooh dont spill salt or you'll have bad luck... blah." I'm not superstitious at all about this day. but I think it's an awesome day. A few years ago I got my wisdom teeth out on friday the 13th and I was kind of freaking out, but then I though nahhh it'll be fine. I think the worst part was, that it was in february so the next day was valentines day.... haha and I was a chipmunk, alone, watching movies and eating milkshakes on my luvsac. Turns out that was my best valentines day yet. There was this awesome guy, Garrett Phillips. He was my gym buddy, tropical smoothie buddy, and just a blast to be around... and on valentines day, when I was a huge chipmunk bruised up face lookin zombie, this guy wanted to come over! He brought me one of those GIANT cards, (the one the size of your body basically) and a smoothie from trop. smoothie, and the latest girlie magazines (really like all the magazines the store had to offer from Seventeen to Cosmo) haha, and he just wanted to hang with me and watch movies while I recovered. Really? How sweeeet right? I know. Best valentines day ever. I even recall him trying to kiss me. and I was like dude I can barely feel my face, I think I'll just slobber all over you. hahah ew. anyways..... I miss garrett a lot. He passed away and it breaks my heart thinking about our old times. but I like thinking about them because I miss him. So every friday the 13th I think of garebear because I was scared, then I remember the 14th is after it and that was one of the best days I had spent with garrett. so thanks garebear for making that valentines day top any valentines day I've ever had or will probably ever have.

So, next thing, is my review of Geisha vs. OHJAH which I don't even know how to say. and my choice is OHJAH!!! Geisha is the hyped up restaurant, the more expensive one too, but OHJAH is the restaurant that is cheaper, not super close, but is wayyyy better! Geisha has watermelon sauce (its really just butter that is bright pink) and they put it on everyyyything, the rice & the veggies & your steak or whatever you're having. It's really good, but at OHJAH I didn't miss it at all. At Geisha I shared my meal with a friend, so we got filet mignon, and it was $26 for one meal, then they tack on a "sharing charge" that is $10 so you can have your own rice and vegetables and soup and salad. it's just redic. so by that time your meal is $36 dollars, $24 with tip, and smaller than the regular meal, so you might as well get the meal for yourself... except I really wasn't hungry! so it was frustrating. but still good. their filet is tender, and beautiful. ah. I still recommend OHJAH bc their meat is seriously good too. SO heres pictures of each place. Sadly, i went to geisha last night and OHJAH the week before. I go out to eat a lot apparently. :)

Geisha:

Really funny story, after the chef made the fire around the heart he said, "now that's heartburn" haha I died laughing. Then I laughed even harder thinking about how many times a week he says that line!

I'm really white I know. Gag.
Happy 21st birthday colleeners!! Love ya twinner!

Okay and now for OHJAH pics!

Honestly I liked the vegetables and soup and salad better here. The filet was great at both places. So there ya go. Please take my word for it people.

Hope you, whoever you are has a fab Friday the 13th!!!

The future. DUN DUN DUN

Sooo I've been doing some hardcore in depth thinking about the future. And I'm terrified. No, not about the "2012 world ending" just the whole economic recession issue, no jobs, no money issue. I always see these guys on facebook, twitter & instagram posting pictures of their money with some title like, "betcha can't get like me" or "I'm a bossss swagggg" like NO. you're not a boss and the word swag is really annoying actually. Those boys make me mad. Being a College graduate used to mean you get a good job and make more money. Now a days... Not so much. Half my classes I'm wait listed on anyhow, so I can't even get into the ones I need. It amazes me how badly people are struggling. Really, it does. In a perfect world we'd all make enough money to enjoy life and be happy. Yeah, I said perfect world. Sometimes I think of the movie the cat in the hat where all the who's have the same cars, same houses, different colors of course, go to work, come home, and are just equal. Course, that type of would might be boring because our differences are what make life diverse and awesome, but I'm just thinking here. It's scary out there. Real scary. Sorry to freak ya out whoever you are. This isn't the most exciting and uplifting post I've ever had... But it's what's on my mind. On a happier note: my cat gizzy/Zaboomafoo (his name is undecided in our household) sits like this ALL THE TIME. and it cracks me upppp. Whenever I'm sad I look at these pics haha.

Btw this photo ^ is of a email update I received because I loaned $25 to this guy so he could buy some cows! My brother Ryan gave me a gift card to Kiva that loans $25 to do some good when I'm thousands of miles away. I suggest everyone check it out. Its really brilliant!

Vakaayyy

2012 so far has treated me amazing. I'm still on my mini vacation though because school doesn't Start for 10 days. Im sick still too. But I'm not complaining. All I've been doing is eating, sleeping, and hanging out with friends. Can't go wrong with that! All my photos are of food... I know. I have issues. I really love food... Haha it's embarrassing buuuut I don't care. I love being with my friends and family but I feel like I have to grow up in a day or two. Get my school schedule figured out. Get another job perhaps... Because me and Jessica and Alanna really want to travel this summer. How awesome would that be? 21 and traveling with your best friends? Sounds like the 4th movie of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants...Yeah, I know. Completely awesome. Ooh and last night me Linds bear and Nakell went to a place like geisha only at a better price I can't remember what it was called but it was amazingly good!!! Afrer we went to the Variety Show at planet Hollywood. It was really good, definitely a variety of things. Juggling with 2 bowling balls and a tiny peanut m&m and those strong guys that hold each other up and crazy ish like that. It was great. And then we went to yogurt land. :) I love Ice cream and froyo. I really need to go to Utah. This morning I woke up to a text from Ashlee my cousin saying "are you comin up here before school starts or what?" haha I really love it. Then she said Allie her daughter texted me that and Allie is 10 going on 25 haha she's the cutest. Goooodness. If I could zap myself up to Utah right now I would. I hate the drive by myself. I hate that I'm sick. I hate that there's no snow up there. And I hate that I need to be down here and get things done. I'll figure it out soon Ashlee (because I know you're the only one who reads this) because I miss you guys a TON!!!!

Oohhhh last but not least..... My sister AUBREE IS HAVING A BABY GIRLLLLLLL!!!! I can't waaaiit. It'll be around my birthday. May-juneish! I can't wait. My sister has the cutest kids. Ever. Well im gonna get back to my movie cause im real cool! I love you whoever you are!! Bye.
